MINUTES OF THE 75^th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

BOLTON CRICKET LEAGUE

13^th DECEMBER 2004

A minutes’ silence was held in respect of all who had passed away in the previous twelve months.

Minutes of the 74^th AGM: These had been circulated after the meeting and were approved. There were no matters arising.

Chairman’s Report: Mike Hall began by thanking the League’s sub-committees, Co-Opted members, umpires and others who spent a lot of time assisting with the administration of the League, including Geoff Cleworth.

The League’s Officials were also thanked for their hard work during the year.

Disappointment was expressed that some proposed changes to rule did not go through, especially after the time people had spent drafting them.

Finally the Chairman wished everyone well for the coming season.

President’s Report: Peter Stafford asked for a concerted effort from clubs to get junior results to the relevant administrator so the results and league tables could appear in the Bolton Evening News.

He than congratulated Tonge on a successful season after it had appeared pre-season that the club may not have been able to fulfil its fixtures.

Statement of Accounts: Bill Stevenson took the committee through the income and expenditure account and balance sheet.

Amendments to Rule: All were carried by the required majority except; #10 (Rule 14(c), #20 (Rule 26(h) and #25 (Rule 37).

Junior Amendments to Rule: All were carried.

Election of Officers: The following were elected;

President – P. Stafford

Chairman and Junior Chairman – M. Hall

Secretary – R. Taylor

Treasurer – W. Stevenson

Co-Opted Members – J. Hutchinson, D. Kay and D. Morris

Junior Minutes Secretary – D. Kay

Junior Treasurer – W. Stevenson
