MINUTES OF THE GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING

Apologies: Karen Knott. All other committee members attended.

November Meeting: The minutes had been distributed and were approved by the committee as a correct record.

Matters Arising: The amendment to the wording of Rule 14(i) was approved unanimously by the clubs.

It was agreed the sponsorship money from Readers be retained by the League. Chris Monks requires clubs to order balls for 2014 by the end of January. The balls have to be paid for y the end of February.

The Chairman thanked Phil Speak from Farnworth C.C., Anne and David Morris and Derek Kay for the successful League Presentation. The buffet had been good value for money, just fewer than 140 had attended and were well behaved, and Anthony Hilton had provided an amusing response on behalf of the League champions.

David Morris said the organisers were always willing to consider alternative formats.

Correspondence: Mrs Knott had written to thank the Committee for the Hubert Pendlebury award.
