Umpires: Umpires reports are often only being submitted after clubs have been sent a reminder.

Egerton and Greenmount: At this point Chairman John Hutchinson said the clubs could be excused the remainder of the meeting. John went on to give the background to decisions made at the previous Management meeting and said there had been a breakdown in communications with Eagley and Tonge.

2016: Clubs were then asked to vote on three proposals for the basis of the League in 2016. A proposal from Bolton Association Secretary Peter Crook had been circulated to clubs but did not receive a seconder. Clubs then voted by a majority to play each other once in 2016 to form two divisions for 2017. For one season only the bonus points will be adjusted to take into consideration concerns expressed by Bolton Association clubs during previous discussions.

Additional Clubs: The Chairman then welcomed the following clubs to the meeting; Atherton, Blackrod, Daisy Hill, Darcy Lever, Little Hulton and Lostock and introductions were made. Golborne sent their apologies.

Correspondence: The Secretary read two emails from Bolton Association Chairman Frank Jackson and the Mr Hutchinson made reference to a newspaper article by Roy Cavanagh. Mr Jackson had referred to the B&DCA clubs having a vote from the 2015 AGM onward, and this had been supported independently by Chris Weston the Liverpool Competition Secretary. In view of this, it was agreed a decision would not be made on the naming of the League until all member clubs had a vote.

Trophies: League clubs agreed with their Association colleagues about the importance of retaining as many of their trophies as possible. Particular reference was made to the Cross Cup.

Grounds: Bolton League grounds will be re-inspected before the next meeting. It was agreed a combined Association and League inspection team will inspect all grounds a fortnight after the close of the 2015 season.

Future Meetings: From the AGM consideration will be given to holding meetings at the most conveniently located club available.

Juniors: Mike Creegan was co-opted onto the Bolton League junior committee with immediate effect and it is hoped other Association junior officials will join in the near future.

Date of Next Meeting: Monday 3rd August, Tonge C.C. at 7.45pm. All Bolton Association clubs and officials are invited. Items on the agenda will include presentations on behalf of the Bolton Cosmopolitan League, the West Lancs League and a cricket ball manufacturer. This will be followed by a Bolton League meeting to which attendance by Egerton and Greenmount is optional.
