MINUTES OF THE GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING

AT TONGE C.C.

3rd AUGUST 2015

 

Egerton C.C. Steve Bannister joined the meeting.

Minutes of the July Meeting; These had been circulated and were agreed to be a correct record.

Matters Arising; No progress to report on the League Presentation.

Ground Inspections; These are still ongoing.

Umpires; Mr Heap reported work was ongoing on the 2017 cricket Laws. There will be an umpires’ course on 12th January.

R&C Report; Tracey Brooks had asked for a reminder to be sent to clubs that first team scorecards have to be input by Sunday evening, including matches played that day.

Stephen Merry said the R&C Committee were looking into a complaint from Walkden C.C. about their match against Egerton. Copies of both scorebooks had been obtained.

Finance; The Treasurer reported there are no major problems and the outstanding balances at the year end are likely to be less than £200 per club.

Disciplinary Reports; Mr Hutchinson took the Committee through the seven incidents since the last meeting. As Chair he also observed that there had been breaches of the ECB’s Code of Conduct in relation to comments on social media in particular between players of clubs leaving the Bolton League and those staying. Breaches of the League Cricket Conference and LCB Rules by players and club officials on the movement of clubs between leagues would also be dealt with by the Disciplinary Committee.

Kearsley will respond to a complaint from Walkden about damage at their ground.

Juniors; Messer’s Cregan and Buckley along with Tracey Brookes will be looking into re-writing the Junior Constitution before the AGM.

Under 11 and Under 15 finals have not been played yet.

Under 13, 15 and 18 league matches cannot be replayed.

Trophies; It is requested that trophies are returned to Bradshaw C.C. or brought to the next Committee meeting.
