Report : Egerton won the toss on a very poor surface, that was only going to get worse during the day. Hirwani bowled well again with only Gary Garner and Rick Northrop showing any real ability for Heaton. It was tough going in the Heaton innings with Mike Ward and john Fearick batting through most of the overs on a wicket that was difficult to score on when bowling wicket to wicket. Eventually a few lusty blows from the lower order saw Heaton victorious.
