Report : After losing the toss Heaton put in a sound batting display to post a score of over 200 with Mike Ward producing an excellent innings of 80. It was slow going to start with, but as the Heaton side kept wickets in the tent they were able to accelerate effectively towards the end of the innings. Little Lever were always up against it after a fine opening spell by John Fearick and pro Hirwani who nearly forced the victory claiming 6 wickets after a rain delay. Little Lever pro Ashraf batted well for his 65 before holding out in the deep attempting to reach the Heaton target.
