Report : An excellent partnership between Snellgrove and Lloyd allowed Bootle to post a big total with the help of some indifferent fielding from the Westhoughton team. In reply only Pilkington managed to show some resistance against a very accurate Bootle attack. The Bolton League champions were never in the game which had earlier promised so much.
