Report :After Bootle were asked to bat first, it was slow progress thanks to a fine opening spell by Mark Sterwart. Once the spinners were introduced, the run-rate picked up and thanks to a fine contribution from Gavin Reynolds and 22 runs hit off the last over, Bootle posted a respectable score. In reply Greenmount looked very nervous batting against a very accurate and pacey attack from pro, Warren and Ronnie Davis. None of the batsman got to grips with the relentless Bootle bowlers and to sum up the days play, were convincingly outplayed to say the least.
