Minutes of meeting held on Thursday 17^th Feb 2005

At Astley Bridge C.C @ 7.45pm start.

A minute’s silence was held in memory of Joan Stafford.

The Minutes of the last meeting were approved as a correct record.

Concern was expressed that the Junior Representatives where not getting copies of the minutes due to them being sent out by email. The Chairman would see that this is rectified.

Walkden C.C have joined the U18’s Competition.
Junior fixtures where approved at the last senior meeting due to time restrictions. Little Lever’s representative asked if some of the U11’s fixtures could be reversed. The Chairman stated that the fixtures would stay as published but if clubs wish to switch fixtures at U11’s they could do by mutual agreement.

· The Chairman thanked Mike Buckley for doing the fixtures this season.

The next CRB session is a Bradshaw C.C on Sunday 6^th March 2005 starting at 7pm. Any Clubs that need CRB check are asked to attend this meeting.

Coaching

Concern had been expressed at the last junior meeting about the courses the League has running. Mike Hall has spoken to Richard Dearden about this and says that he had done everything within his power to make the sessions run correctly, but due to several problems, delays where inevitable. Also he spoke to RD about LCB nominations and these had all been passed on.
Clubs where asked to bring to the next meeting suggestions for RD to take to his coaching committee ideas of how to use the £1400 in the coming season / winter.
U11’s and U12’s nominations for LCB Trials to be sent to Richard Deaden or phoned to him on 07971 242039 by 17^th March 05.
RD brought up the idea of having a coaches / players session(s) in Teaching Young Players Mental Skills. He had seen a company that did this at a Staff Coaches seminar. The cost of this would be £350 for two sessions (1 for coaches and 1 for players). The junior approved the idea. Mike Hall would try and get approval to run this project. A provisional date of 24^th March 05 at Bradshaw C.C 7pm has been set but will be confirmed to clubs.

Peter Stafford has requested information from clubs, Mike Buckley gave out a form for clubs to fill and send to him. (Copy attached).
The ECB Coaches Association forms were given to clubs for any Qualified Coaches that required insurance.
Astley Bridge were asked to come up with an idea for the Reuben Mather Trophy.

Date of the next meeting will be Thursday 17^th March at Astley Bridge C.C @ 7.45pm
