Minutes of meeting held on Thursday 19th May 2005 @ Astley Bridge C.C.
The Minutes of the last meeting were approved as a correct record.
The two draws for the U13’s and U15’s Peak Sports had been received and passed on to the appropriate people.
U11’s Only just started on Wednesday no report.
U13’s Mike Buckley Reported that two games had not taken place but the competitions/ Registrations Committee were dealing with this. All match cards have been received and telephone through to our Newspaper Reporter.
U15’s John had sent a written report which stated all teams had played two games and 4 teams had won both games. All match cards are coming in on time.
U18’s No Report
U18’s Play away in the first round of the MEN and at home for the next two round.
U15’s are away in the first round of the Michael Roache Trophy and have also entered the Peak Sports where they will play 4 group games, a semi final and final.
U13’s will play in the Peak Sports, where they will play 3 group games, a semi final and a final. They will also play against the Bolton Association in the Teddy Gerrard Trophy.
U11’s Ian reported that he was having problems finding fixtures, Mike Buckley will ask North of Wales to play us.
Budgets where set for Interleague fixtures these are as follows:
Teas home fixture £72
Umpires £15
If transport is required Mike Hall and Bill Stevenson must clear this, BEFORE anything is booked.
All results are coming to all secretaries and results are also being phoned through to Mrs Hobbiss the newspaper reporter.
Mike hall reminded clubs of their responsibilities and read out a list of clubs with outstanding issues and asked them to sort A.S.A.P.
Farnworth S.C have a U9’s team if any clubs would like to contact them in regard to fixtures
Bradshaw C.C also have an U9’s team and an U11’s B and C team, if any club would like to play friendly matches. Contact Mike Buckley on 07710 421231.
U18’s Averages, a vote was taken to change the rule for the averages in the u18’s because it had been missed when the League changed to a two-day game. All clubs where in favour.
Astley Bridge stated that where unhappy about the way an U18 player had been disciplined, Mike Hall would sort this one out.
There is a pro coaching course being held a QEGS in Blackburn from 31st may to the 3rd June is any club would like to send their pro, please contact Brian Woodhead, or the Lancashire C.C.
There being no other business the meeting closed at 8.32pm.
