Minutes of last meeting

The Minutes of the last meeting were approved as a correct record.

Treasurer’s Report

Bill reported that the finances were ok and how much was in the coaching fund. Bill also stated that some clubs still owe money towards the coaching fund, he will take it up at Monday’s Senior meeting.

 

Age Group Reports

All League Tables where read out and copies are attached to these minutes.

U11’s No report.

U13’s Mike Buckley reported: All games and match cards have been received and telephone through to our Newspaper Reporter. A request by two clubs (LL and WE) to reverse their U13’s games on Sunday 26th June was agreed.

U15’s No Report

U18’s Darren Wilson reported: All games and match cards have been received and telephone through to our Newspaper Reporter.

A proposal was put forward to publish the U11’s League Table twice a year. All clubs where in favour except Little Lever and Bradshaw.

Horwich C.C stated that they where not happy with the outcome of the LKO but Mike Hall replied saying everything had been done properly and the rule requires further looking at. Astley Bridge also stated that they where unhappy by the pressure Horwich representatives had put on him by the way of phone call etc.

 

Interleague Update

U18’s Won their first game at Farnworth C.C, and congratulations where passed on to Farnworth C.C for their hard work that they have done on the ground. The next game in the MEN is on the 10th July at Egerton C.C.

U15’s won their first game in the Michael Roache Trophy by 106 runs, the next games in on Tuesday 28th June at Farnworth C.C 1.30pm start.

U13’s will play in the Peak Sports, their first game being on Sun at Horwich C.C. The committee approved an U13’s game verses the Huddersfield League on Sunday 10th July.

U11’s No Report

 

Match Cards and Results

All results are coming to all secretaries and results are also being phoned through to Mrs Hobbiss the newspaper reporter.

Press Office

Mrs Hobbiss attending the meeting to give an update on the news reporting. She asked when results are sent in if the home team could be put first and also that the names of the children be put in full. The committee thanked her for her continued support.

 

A.O.B

Mike Fletcher asked if a cup fixture on the 10th July could be played midweek. All were in favour.

It was confirmed that: when a match is wiped out due to the 3 games rule, the runs etc still count towards the League averages.

Mr Roberts brought up an incident of a player arriving in the second half of a one night game and batting.  The player in question was on the team sheet and the side had only fielded with 10 men. The committee decided that this game would stand.

Mike Fletcher asked that the winter program be sorted with in the next two months.

 

There being no other business the meeting closed at 8.40pm.
