Minutes of last meeting

The Minutes of the last meeting were approved as a correct record.

 

Correspondence

None

 

Treasurer’s Report

Bill reported that the finances were ok and how much was in the coaching fund. Bill also stated that FSC had not paid their £100 coaching fund money.

 

Age Group Reports

All League Tables where read out and copies are attached to these minutes.

U11’s Heaton C.C lost in the LKO. The Walkden representative was asked to check about the Walkden Tournament.

U13’s Mike Buckley reported: All games and match cards have been received and telephone through to our Newspaper Reporter.

U15’s FSC lost to Darwen in the Final of the LKO. It was also asked that the fixtures from the 20th June get played A.S.A.P.

U18’s Darren Wilson reported: All games and match cards have been received and telephone through to our Newspaper Reporter.

 

Interleague Update

U18’s The league was beaten by the Bolton Association at Egerton, thanks go to Egerton for a well-staged game. The League plays the Ribblesdale League in the last game.

U15’s won their second game in the Michael Roache Trophy and are now in the semi final. This is to be played on 29th July.

U13’s are in the semi final of the Peak Sports and the Teddy Gerrard Trophy will be played on Sun 28th Aug @ Daisy Hill.

U11’s No games have been arranged yet as no-one will play us.

 

Fixtures

It was agreed that the U15’s final shall be moved to Sunday 28th Aug 2005 or the 4th Sept depending on the LKO result with Greenmount, because of Bradshaw being in the final of the Birtwistle Cup. Agreement the two clubs shall sort Bradshaw v FSC U18’s league fixture.

 

Coaching

Through the Secretary Richard Dearden sent word that some courses for improving your batting and bowling will be run in the school holidays, dates to be confirmed, The League committee asked that the dates be know well in advance so that they can sort out who is going to attend. Also the committee agreed that venues for the Winter Programme should be booked and David Fairbrother and Mike Buckley were put in change of this.

 

Changes of Rule 2006

The Secretary asked for clubs to start thinking of this point and any changes to be passed onto him sooner rather than later. Mike Buckley will look into pitch lengths, as there seems to be differences between LCB. ECB and Leagues.
